Please find this product at [ Ссылка ] This video is to bring you a closer look at the National Guard 198NA door sweep. This is a very typical door sweep by National Guard. It's very common in the sense that it is an aluminum extrusion with a solid neoprene seal. A sweep that is gonna be used when someone says "Give me the heavy duty one." they generally mean neoprene, not necessarily the size, but they mean thick synthetic rubber, which smells like you walked into a tire shop, versus vinyl or thinner gauge material for the seal. And is used in those instances, you'll have a common application of a steel door in the back of a building or steel doors in the back of a strip mall, you know, those doors might be delivery door where they're opened and closed often during the day, and they need a good weather seal, and the neoprene is certainly something quite excellent for that. It's also better to keep the critters out as well, it's a bit harder to get through this solid neoprene. However the installation is such that you do need to be careful with it because this is solid synthetic rubber and it can cause your door to not close if you've got a hydraulic door closer on it, if your installation is not exactly correct, because it's meant to seal very well, but it's not ultra flexible. So if you've got a really tight floor condition, while this would seal very well, you might have to pull the door closed, sort of situation. Screws are included in a complimentary finish, and this finish being the A finish which is a clear anodized aluminum, as you can see, available in a dark bronze as well. Very nice quality item by National Guard. So the 198 is representative of what this is, an aluminum holder, as you can see, the N stands for neoprene and the A stands for mill aluminum finish. Available in several different lengths in the website. If you have need for a custom length, by all means let us know by ordering the next longest piece or pieces and indicate in the comment field what length you'd like us to cut the material back to. The reasoning is if you had to take this 36" piece and cut it down to 34", you'd eliminate that slotted hole and then the next one's all the way over here. So you're stuck drilling another slotted hole and slotted holes are tough naturally to drill, because they're not drilled, they're punched and that slotted hole is really nice, especially for this type of sweep, based on what I said previously, so that you can get a tailoring of the sweep on the door, depending on what the sill condition is, probably won't be exactly level, the door may not be plumb. With this sort of sweep you'll have your slotted hole out here. What holds the neoprene on from the factory is simply an adhesive, it's when you run the screws through the slotted hole, and pierce through the neoprene is what holds it on. So you're going to have to pre-drill these holes how you like them and you might have to allow yourself the ability to slot it on a little bit, so that you can still tug it up and down, ever so slightly. And the other reason actually, you know when you pre-drill that hole and that if you've not used a center punch, the drill bit has the tendency to walk a little bit if you're drilling into steel or aluminum or fiberglass or wood. So that slotted hole is handy for that purpose as well. So if you have need for a custom length, by all means let us know by ordering the next longest piece or pieces and indicate in the comment field what length you'd like us to ship the material out at. There is an image below this video showing everything important dimensionally about the item. You can see that it's 1-7/8" overall height, and that is correct. You've got 7/8" worth of the extrusion and 1" of the neoprene alone. Projection off the face of the door, a less important dimension, but nonetheless, about 1/4". National Guard is a full line manufacturer of all things commercial weather stripping related. Great quality customer service. Excellent turn around, even though there's a minimum order that we typically contend with. Reach out to us if the lead time is critical. We'll have to work together on that.
