On this episode of the Miata build we will be finishing up the front suspension rebuild.
We’re going to start with replacing the stock front sway bar mounts with some Heavy Duty mounts from AWR Racing. The front sway bar mounts are the weakest point on the front suspension on NA & NB models
They get stressed and fatigued over time from hard driving since a lot of force is transferred to the mounts during cornering. These will improve the performance of the sway bars and stiffen up the chassis a bit as well
I then painted my frame rails since everything was already apart and to add a layer of protection to the frame. I then installed the Racing Beat sway bar that was already on the car and added some adjustable front end links from 949 Racing.
I’m excited to get one step closer to having the car ready for the road.
The car should handle great once it's running again. Can’t wait to drive the car soon!
The install only required basic tools and some time. I hope this video gives you the confidence to do it yourself too!
