Shear wall design is a topic that is not commonly covered in undergraduate reinforced concrete design; however, shear walls are a critical part of most reinforced concrete buildings. This video gives the basics of how to design a shear wall with continuous vertical and horizontal reinforcement. Several design tricks are also given.
