Here is a study hack that is fantastic for humanities subjects.

In the humanities, lots of essays are written about opinions on different issues. We might be arguing for a particular moral position, or political position, or analysis of a historical event.

Whatever your opinion is, I want you to challenge it from as many angles as you can.

Ask how you could be wrong about it. Ask why other people disagree with you about it and be charitable! What would a genius who disagreed with you say to thwart your position.

On the one hand, you might learn that you are wrong, and on the other you’ll have bolstered your opinion against any attack.

Either way, you’ll write better essays.
