Les and Stuart engineered a tool to help the pinion nut repair job go much easier. This issue is in all 800 model Razors and destroying the rear gear case is the result when that pinion nut comes loose.
Les came to my home to fix my 2012 800S Rzr with only 590 miles on it. I decided to park it over a month ago instead of taking an expensive gamble. My pinion nut only had approximately 20 ft lbs of torque on it instead of the 280 ft lbs needed. It would have destroyed my rear gear case sooner than later because the pinion nut would have worked loose very soon.
After Les did his magic, I can now concentrate on enjoying my ride. I understand that without a proper fix to this issue, a ruined rear gear case could cost you $1600+ or even much more. My parts were less than $50 and with Les's labor and tool, I saved a lot of money and more importantly made a great friend in Les Hansen.
