El presidente de Vox, Santiago Abascal, ha planteado recuperar en España un servicio público, que podría ser militar, al considerar que se habla demasiado de derechos y poco de obligaciones. Abascal ha asegurado que aún no saben si este servicio que proponen sería de uno, tres o seis meses de duración y ha aclarado que el partido está analizando si lo planteará tras las elecciones generales de este 28 de abril. En otro asunto, Abascal considera que es bueno tener una canción como himno nacional que emocione a los españoles y ha puesto como ejemplo la melodía de la Legión 'El novio de la muerte' ya que considera que "gusta a muchos españoles".
