The vehicle movement on the ‘Chittagong City Outer Ring Road’ project – 17km long road from Chattogram to Patenga-Faujdarhat – will start in full swing by December this year. Already, more than 92 percent work has been completed.
Although the construction of City Outer Ring Road has not been completed yet limited traffic has been introduced considering the suffering of the people. The Chattogram Development Authority (CDA) has taken initiative to build an ‘outer ring road cum embankment’ to reduce traffic congestion in the metropolis and facilitate the movement of goods vehicles from the Chattogram port.
