A major terrorist attack has occurred in the Khurram area of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan, with the Shia community being the apparent target. Close to 50 people, including children, are feared dead. The attack was reportedly carried out by four to five masked men who overtook a convoy of vehicles travelling from Parachinar to Peshawar. The attackers surrounded the convoy and opened fire, targeting women, children, and other innocent people from the Shia community.
