Doing marketing without setting KPIs is like traveling to a new destination without a map. You won't really know where to go, and you'll probably get lost along the way.
In this video, Dylan explains the basics of setting your own KPIs for your marketing campaigns.
KPIs in marketing help you determine what tactics you should use, which channels work best, and where you should allocate your resources. Basically, KPIs are the backbone of your digital marketing strategy.
If you're not familiar with the term, KPI stands for key performance indicator. In marketing, it's a metric — determined by your business — that helps you gain insight into how your campaigns are moving you toward your goals. Your KPIs may vary between marketing channels, or you may have one overarching goal that every campaign is aimed at. Only you (or your digital marketing partner) can decide which KPIs are most relevant.
You have plenty of options when it comes to choosing your KPIs — CPL, CLV, ROAS, etc. This video will explain a bit more about those metrics.
