Kia has refreshed the Sportage for 2025, three years after the debut of this SUV's fifth generation.

Exterior:
The redesigned front end and upgraded interior, along with some mechanical changes, give the car a new look.
The 2025 Sportage facelift follows the same design direction that Kia has applied to models like the Picanto, Sorento, Carnival, K4, and K8, aligning them visually with the expanding line of electric vehicles. The most notable style change is in the front, which now has sharper, vertically positioned lights, new openings on the bumpers, and a redesigned grille that gives the SUV a bolder stance.

Interior:
For the interior, Kia retained the previous design identity while adding a high-tech touch. Inside, the 2025 Kia Sportage receives a curved digital cockpit with two connected 12.3-inch screens, a new head-up display, ambient lighting, thinner air vents, and revised climate controls.
Kia offers a choice between three interior options – Lounge Brown, Black, and Navy Gray – along with eight available exterior colors.

Engines:
The base 2025 Sportage model comes with the familiar 2.0-liter engine with 144 horsepower.
The more powerful 1.6-liter turbo produces an unchanged 177 horsepower but now comes with a new eight-speed automatic transmission, claimed to offer completely smooth shifts compared to the old seven-speed DCT transmission.
The improved hybrid powertrain gains 5 more horsepower. Specifically, the hybrid has a 1.6-liter turbo engine with 177 horsepower and an electric motor that adds 64 horsepower.

Price:
In Korea, the model's price depends on the choice of powertrain and equipment packages, ranging from 28.3 million to 48.7 million Korean won, which is around $20,700 to $34,800.

These updates will likely reach the United States by 2026, making the refreshed Sportage even more appealing to a wider audience.
