On 18th April 2015 Didcot Railway Centre held an event to celebrate GWR Diesel Railcar No.22's 75th birthday. I have heard that 22's actual birthday (date of her completion) is some time in June/July and she didn't enter traffic until 18/09/1940. So it's more like her 75th birthyear!
Other than 22, Didcot's class 14 (D9516) was in operation but failed at about 11:15 with fuel injection problems. 08604 had to rescue the stranded 14 and then had to operate the 14's train for the rest of the day. FGW class 150 No.150001 was visiting but was on static display.
