Lebanon - the Paris of the Middle East filled with beaches, snow-topped mountains, and amazing history - is a tiny country and an underrated destination. Yet this small nation’s capital, Beirut, was recently named as a trending international destination by Forbes and as the #1 best international city for food by Travel+Leisure.

The video captures my March 2017 trip to Lebanon and highlights the country’s cuisine, diverse natural landscapes, and storied history. Footage (captured on GoPro HERO4 Silver Edition) comes from a street festival in the lively Monot district of Beirut, hitchhiking in the Qadisha Valley, playing with snow in the Chouf Mountains and the Cedars, the ancient Phoenician city of Byblos, ruins of Roman antiquities in Baalbek, the Bekaa Valley, hiking at Chouwen, viewing the Al Mina archaeological site in Tyre, gazing out on the Mediterranean at Harissa, and many more beautiful places.
