There are two different types of Spear builds.

You have the the Utility (Enfeebling Skewer) and the DPS (Venom Artifact, Vicious/Distained Infliction+Attunement+Sweep/Keenly Jagged)

Sweep and Cyclone are the two big Damage Dealing skills, cyclone is best used in ancients and lost based dungeons as they take more strike damage, while sweep is best in corrupted dungeons.

As of this patch though, sweep does NOT work on all mobs anymore, but the bleed from sweep is still a lot of extra DPS.

You will NEED an enfeebling skewer player in the group comp regardless, but if there is a skewer build, then you can run your DPS spear.
