Meanwhile, delayed refunds and payments by South Korean affiliates of Singapore-based e-commerce platform Qoo10, are causing market chaos.
The delay by the online marketplaces TMON and WeMakePrice, began earlier this month.
It has sellers waiting for payment, and customers, for refunds on unshipped products or canceled services, such as tour packages.
Sources say the issue stems from a liquidity crisis at Qoo10, after the takeover of another shopping platform in spring, did not leave enough money for transactions.
Meanwhile, an official at South Korea's Presidential Office said Wednesday, that "the office will do its best to minimize the damage to customers and sellers."
