Kayra Sayit of Turkey was a strong contender in the +78kg category on day seven of the World Championships. Though the Turkish athlete has a successful preliminary round, she was unable to perform to her fullest in the semi final against eventual Champion, SONE of Japan. There was no choice for the 2018 World bronze medallist but to keep up her streak with another World medal and took this against Brazilian judoka, Beatriz SOUZA.
