Properly installing heat shrink bullet terminals is a simple task with the proper tools. We will be using 16-gauge marine wire, bullet terminals, a compact wire stripper, a crimper, and a heat tool from our production facility. We’ll start by measuring the wire to the proper length and then cutting it using our stripping tool. Once we know the correct amount of insulation to remove well use the cut nests from our compact wire stripper and close the tool around the wire. Next, we’ll pull the tool away from the wire removing the insulation. This tool offers multiple crimp nests to handle a wide range of wire sizes. It also has a tapered plier nose that can be used to grip, twist, bend, or pull. Lastly, this tool offers a sharp cutting blade ideal for cutting solid and stranded wires as large as 10 gauge. Now well line up the bullet terminal into the proper crimp nest on our tool. With our terminal in place, we’ll insert the wire making sure that the insulation of the wire butts up to the barrel of the terminal. With that, we’ll simply close the tool completing one full ratchet cycle. Our specialty crimper is built for durability and reliability, it offers multiple crimp nests and can handle wires ranging from 26 gauge to 10 gauge. All that’s left is to activate the heat shrink being careful to move the tool in slow consistent motions. There you have it, we’ve created a superior electrical connection. You’ll find the tools, wire, and parts you’ve seen here, at PacerGroup.Net
