Landlord Electrical Safety Checks 2020 - Plain English Guide to New Landlord Electrical Regulations

The "Electrical Safety Standards in the Private Rented Sector (England) Regulations 2020" are the latest electrical safety regulations which are being introduced this year.

This now places requirements on Landlords to have a 5-yearly electrical safety check (more correctly called 'Electrical Installation Condition Report'). It also places requirements on Landlords to ensure that they have repairs completed in a timely fashion and that the person completing the work must be properly qualified.
