MACKEREL FISH CURRY / AYALA MULAKITTATHU
INGREDIENTS
1. Mackerel 1/2 Kg
2. Crushed ginger 1 tbsp
3. Crushed garlic 1 tbsp
4. Shallots 1/4 cup
5. Green chilli 1 nos
6. Curry leaves
7. Salt
8. Chilli powder 1 tsp
9. Kashmiri chilli powder 2 tbsp
10. Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
11. Coconut oil 1 tbsp
12. Tamarind ( Lemon sized)
13. Tomato 1 nos
14. Water 1/2 + 1/4 + 1 cup
15. Fenugreak 1/4 tsp
METHOD
1. Heat oil in a clay pot and add fenugreak
2. Add shallots, ginger, garlic, green chilli, curry leaves and saute well
3. Add all powders and saute until raw smell goes
4. Add tamarind water and water as required, boil it
5. Add salt, tomato, mackerel and curry leaves, mix well, then cover and cook for 15 to 20 minutes
Switch off the flame, Now our Mackerel Curry is ready to serve..
