Na webinarze pn.: „Na czym polega Climate Proofing (weryfikacja klimatyczna)? Wybrane zagrożenia klimatyczne wraz ze stosowanymi rozwiązaniami w zakresie adaptacji do zmian klimatu” zaprezentowano najważniejsze aspekty analiz klimatycznych oraz kluczowe aspekty analiz inwestycji pod kątem ich wpływu na klimat i adaptacji do zmian klimatu. Omówiono kwestie dotyczące analizy wrażliwości inwestycji na zmiany klimatu, w jaki sposób przeprowadzić analizę narażenia na zmieniające się czynniki klimatyczne oraz analizę podatności.
Webinar został zorganizowany w ramach projektu pn. „Wzmocnienie koordynacji polityki adaptacji do zmian klimatu między władzami lokalnymi, regionalnymi i krajowymi”. Projekt ten był realizowany dla Ministerstwa Klimatu i Środowiska, od listopada 2022 r. do czerwca 2024 r., przez PwC w partnerstwie z Instytutem Rozwoju Miast i Regionów, na zlecenie Dyrekcji Generalnej ds. Wspierania Reform Strukturalnych Komisji Europejskiej.
Celem projektu było wypracowanie rekomendacji dotyczących nowej krajowej strategii adaptacji do zmian klimatu, a także wsparcie podmiotów zaangażowanych w realizację działań adaptacyjnych. Wśród rekomendacji wypracowanych dla polityki adaptacji do zmian klimatu w Polsce wskazano konieczność prowadzenia nie tylko działań edukacyjnych i informacyjnych wśród społeczeństwa, ale także podnoszenia kompetencji i wiedzy osób, które tę politykę powinny prowadzić – niezależnie czy jest to adaptacja realizowana na poziomie lokalnym, regionalnym, czy z poziomu centralnego. Szkolenie było odpowiedzią na potrzebę zwiększenia wiedzy zarówno na temat skutków zmian klimatu, jak i działań, które należy podejmować w celu przystosowania się do ich występowania.
