I am explaining some of the ins and outs of domestic embroidery machines and the Brother 800e specifically. This NV800e tutorial is like a How to machine embroider 101 by a beginner machine embroiderer himself lol.

In this DIY Machine Embroidery beginner tutorial I explain the basics of home embroidery machines, like how to embroider different colours, how to thread the brother nv800e embroidery machine, how to wind the bobbin and install it in the bobbin case. We will do some tests with the build in fonts and than embroider on a vintage denim jacket to upcycle it.

In this DIY machine embroidery beginner tutorial I give an introduction to the Brother 800e embroidery machine, also known as the Brother NV800e. This medium priced embroidery machine has a 16x24 hoop, automatic needle threader and the speed is 800 stitches per minute. The beginner machine embroidery tutorial gives insight in the specs of the embroidery machine and the different ways to use it. DIY Machine embroidery designs have to be made on a seperate software, You can invest in this, or hire a digitizer to translate your design into an embroidery design. Also you can buy designs and fonts online on Etsy for example. But like most home embroidery machines the brother 800e built in designs are freely accessible on the machine to use. However some of the designer are a little outdated imo. For today I will do a test with a built in font to explore how the embroidery machine operates. The brother nv800e fonts are 9 in total but keep in mind that this incluses some non-western fonts (I believe chinese, japanese and russian) We use build in fonts to embroider on the back of a denim jacket. This easy project is to try out the brother NV800e first use and demonstrate how to use the brother NV800e. Hopefully soon I will embroider in different colors I do all kinds of fun upcycling projects on my embroidery machine.
