Opening presentations for a panel discussion for Transition Exeter on Exeter's Net Zero Carbon 2030 plan. With panellists; Exeter City Councillor Rachel Sutton, Lynda Wookey of Exeter City Futures, Tess Walsh of Fridays for Future, and Madeleine Greenhalgh from Green New Deal Devon. December 3rd 2020
Exeter's Net Zero Plan, published this year, contains ambitious proposals, but in post-Covid times the costs look prohibitive. Yet perhaps the Plan can help both with post-Covid recovery as well as responding to the Climate and Ecological Emergencies.
What does the Net Zero Plan propose? Is the Plan fit for purpose? And how can it be implemented with finances strained by the pandemic? Bring your questions and ideas.
