Modern systems of city transport have many problems, which cost people both time and money. That is why we can see dozens of start-ups and inventions, which are aimed at making the urban transportation faster, more economical and comfortable for citizens.
The podcars, also sometimes called personal rapid transit, are aimed at solving many city transportation problems and may possibly become the transport of the future.
As modern infrastructure doesn’t always fulfill the demand and causes various traffic jams and accidents on the road, inventors try to develop similar over transit networks.
Personal rapid transit systems will operate as small driving pods for 3-6 people, which is be moving non-stop, thus, eliminating the need for waiting. With the help of built-in software and interactive systems the routes may be calculated more efficiently and provide the passengers with additional interactive services to kill the time.
Such economic and affordable driverless pod cars are already operating in Masdar City and London Heathrow Airport and providing quick transportation services to people.
