I planted our Tzimbalo Melon Pear right next to our Eggplants. I've always had trouble with blister beetles on our Eggplants. What I noticed was that the blister beetles seemed to prefer the Melon Pear over the Eggplant. I immediately saw the potential to use it as a trap crop.
