Progress 8 conferences for schools are being held by Pearson and CentreForum from March 2014. The aim of the conferences is to help schools understand the new measures, in particular how Progress 8 is calculated, and enable senior managers to make the most informed decision possible for their students using the latest available information.
At each event, you will hear from experts who have been involved in the analysis of the data and modelling the changes to show how and why the movements occur.
The Progress 8 measure is the most significant change in the new accountability measures announced by the DfE in October 2013. The curriculum choices made by Year 9 students this year and the teaching strategy centres use with their students will affect the way students' performance is viewed in 2016.
