Sky News host James Macpherson says outgoing Queensland Premier Steven Miles’ 50 cent bus fares and free school lunches could not convince the public to re-elect a Labor government.

“Queensland has elected a conservative government for only the second time in 38 years,” Mr Macpherson said.

“50 cent bus fares and free school lunches just were not enough to convince Queenslanders to forgive a Labor government.”
