Discover how to embed web based video directly into Ecamm Live using widget overlays in this full tutorial.
When people want to share a YouTube video or a video from other site in their Ecamm Live Production, they will often use a screen share overlay to share a browser window. This relies on having the browser window open and takes up valuable space on your monitor that you maybe don't have or would rather use for something else. There is a way, however, that we can use the embed code for any video and bring it into Ecamm Live using as a widget overlay, complete with audio.
Make sure you have permission to use any video you are going to embed within your productions!!
What we are looking for is the Embed url from within the full 'iFrame' embed code.... for youtube, it will look something like this:

We also want to auto play the video so that whenever we switch to the scene containing the widget, or show or hid the widget overlay, it will play the video... to do this, we add ?autoplay=1 to the end of the url. So our full url for the widget is as follows:
