Violence has once again hit the streets of the Greek capital as police and protesters clashed during a huge, anti-austerity rally.
Protesters threw petrol bombs while police responded with tear-gas and flash bombs sending hundreds of protesters scrambling for cover.
Two police and five civilians suffered injuries.
A 24-hour strike by public and private sector workers grounded flights, closed schools and left Athens without public transport.
