In this weeks signature series on Cuba after Fidel, Worldfocus correspondent Peter Eisner visits Cuba to explore the changing political and cultural climate as Raúl Castro takes on the responsibilities of leading the country. During his visit, he had a chance to sit down with Cuban writer Pablo Armando Fernandez.
Pablo Armando Fernandez studied English literature in New York and returned to Cuba after the success of the 1959 revolution. An author of novels and poetry, he found his work celebrated, though it was banned for 10 years. Fernandez shares some thoughts on the revolution and Fidel Castro and recites one of his poems.
