My solo adventure driving an auto rickshaw down through India continues. In my last video it showed the problems I encountered when my gear cable needed replacing. Unfortunately, the gear ratio still wasn't right when I started this latest leg of my journey, so primiary task of the day was to find a good mechanic who could resolve the issue.

Driving through busy city traffic with no first gear isn't fun. Whilst you can just about cope it isn't something you want to be doing all the time. Altering the gears so you gain 1st but lose 4th gear is an option better for city driving but it makes it impossible to cover good distances on the highways. See how this problem is ultimately resolved.

The Rickshaw Run is designed to provide a challenge and as an unsupported event you are the only one who can interact and find local assistance. Whilst many Indians want to help visitors to their country sometimes their enthusiasm is misplaced in providing assistance beyond their own skill set. This has unfortunately hampered my progress so far.
