In this video I show you the final result of the development process of a special short shifter made for the W202 C-class, the C208 CLK and the R170 SLK. Also possible to fit on the W201, W210, W124, R129 and others.
The short shifter not only brings up the shift knob position closer to the steering wheel which increases the race like feel, it also shortens the movement of the shifter in longitudinal and transversal direction. This makes for a quicker shift and better feel while shifting.
I present you prototype parts which were p3d printed from PA12 and already assembled with the needed standard parts. This is part 1/2. In the next video you will see the finished shifter made from metal parts. It will be available in my online shop in about 3 month.
