Are you about to set sail on a cruise in the near future? Packing for a cruise can seem daunting. Did you know that once you have checked in on embarkation day, you may not get your luggage until later in the afternoon/ evening? It's important to have some essential items in a carry on bag so that you can still enjoy the activities on the ship during those hours you don't all your suitcases. In this video, I'll share my top 10 essential items that you should pack in your carry on back for embarkation day!
1. Print out your cruise paperwork and have your passport, vaccination card, extra pens and other forms of ID all in one safe place. Lanyards for your sea passes are always a good idea.
2. Swim gear- you will want to hit the pool or the water slides, so be sure to pack your cover up, swimsuits, floats for the kids, sunglasses, goggles!
3. Sunscreen! Don't burn and be in pain on your very first day!
4.Change of clothes: Many of the restaurants and shops will not allow you to come in wearing only your swimsuit suit, so you will want to bring a set on clothes for each family member to change in to.
5. Pool bag that you can roll up and put in your carry on. Once you get to your room, you are going to want to separate your swim gear into a bag so you don't have to lug around your carry on if you want to hit the pool right away.
6. First aid kit and medication: These can get expensive if you have to purchase one the ship, so it's definitely worth packing!
7. Makeup and hair tools: Hair products, make up, straight iron, curling iron...everything you need to freshen up.
8.Clorox wipes and hand sanitizers: You may want to wipe surfaces down in your state room, and clean dirty hands!
9. Camera, waterproof phone case and chargers: Don't miss on capturing those moments, especially when things are new and exciting!
10: Refillable drink bottle: There are plenty of stations for you to refill your bottle! This will help with not having to keep going back and forth to refill tiny cups, especially if you have young ones who are constant thirsty!
Medications and first aid kit: These can get super expensive if you purchase on the ship. You/ll never know what one of your daily members era gets hurt of sick, so it's smart to have essential medications and basic first aid on hand.
