WAP-4 of Kanpur (CNB) leading Delhi - Alipurduar Sikkim Mahananda Express towards Patna Junction
Sikkim Mahananda Express earlier No. 4083 runs from Alipur Duar Junction to New Delhi on a daily basis. It consists of 2nd AC, 3rd AC and Sleeper berths.
After departing from Alipur Duar Station at 6.30 AM, the Sikkim Mahananda Express reaches New Delhi at 7 PM on the next day. Passengers spend a total of 36 hours and 30 minutes in travel.
This train stops at not just big stations but also at smaller junctions. The train stops at as many as 56 stations in course of its journey. This is quite a lot considering the fact that this Mail Express covers a span of 1561 kms.
The reverse Sikkim Mahananda Express runs from New Delhi to Alipur Duar Junction. It leaves New Delhi station at 6.35 AM and reaches Alipur Duar Junction at 5.20 PM on the next day. It takes 34 hours and 45 minutes to reach its destination with a total of 57 stops in between.
This train does not stop at main station New Delhi or the Hazrat Nizamuddin station. Rather, this train starts and ends at Delhi station.
