The bodies of two minors were recovered by civil protection rescue teams deployed to Soyapango, in El Salvador, on June 21, following reports of people trapped under the rubble of a house after a landslide.
Rescue teams were seen in the area removing debris and mud to rescue the victims, and two injured people were taken to a hospital.
Salvadoran authorities on Friday said the death toll had now reached 19, among them six children, while over 3,000 people remain in temporary shelters.
In Central America, at least 30 people have died and thousands have been forced to evacuate their homes as storms and heavy rainfall continue to lash the region, according to local officials, with the constant downpours flooding rivers, destroying homes, triggering landslides and cutting off entire communities.
