Effective reentry programs and supports help youth successfully reenter their communities and engage in educational or career/technical training. However, one of the persistent challenges for many policy makers, practitioners, and stakeholders is identifying funding to support these reentry programs, including those that increase access to education.
This webinar, hosted by Robert F. Kennedy Juvenile Justice Collaborative and RFK National Resource Center, will help policy makers as well as education and juvenile justice system stakeholders better understand how to use Title I Part D education funding to support reentry programs and supports for young people returning to school or an appropriate educational placement from the juvenile justice system. Featured speakers include:
John McLaughlin, Ed.D., U.S. Department of Education, Homeless, Neglected, or Delinquent Education Programs
Kathleen O'Neill Sande, Institution Education Program Supervisor, Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction, Washington State
