Software development is continuously evolving, and for its new solutions Orange Romania uses a mix of customised development with off-the-shelf products, using Open Source wherever possible, and leveraging Orange Group's pre-developed components. It also launches fast, reacting to customer feedback to refine and improve solutions during their lifetime. Virtualisation is playing an important role as it brings cost optimisation, agility and faster time to market.
