A man was beaten to death by mob at Amritsar's Golden Temple on Saturday after he barged into the sanctum sanctorum of the shrine during the recital of 'Rehras Sahib'. He picked up the sword placed in front of the 'Saroop' of Sri Guru Granth Sahb. The whole incident was caught on CCTV camera. As per reports, he was immediately overpowered and was brought outside and on the way, he was beaten by the mob following which he succumbed to his injuries.
Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal and former Punjab CM Parkash Singh Badal reacted to the incident of attempted sacrilege.
