When was the last time you heard of a brand new shape of pasta? Not in your l ifetime? Me either.
Well.
My friend and host of the James Beard award-winning podcast The Sporkful spent three years developing a brand new pasta shape, and it's called cascatelli, Italian for little waterfalls. It's pretty fantastic. Here's my quick video review of it.

But be warned, it's been seriously popular and Sfoglini, the company that makes the pasta, is having a hard time keeping up with the demand, so it's on back order as they source more flour and more boxes. It's worth the wait, in my estimation.
