Lisa Gade reviews the Moto G5 Plus, Motorola’s affordable unlocked Android 7.0 Nougat smartphone that works on both GSM and CDMA networks with 4G LTE. The $229 Moto G5 Plus is powered by a 2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 CPU and it has a 5.2” full HD display, an aluminum back, front fingerprint scanner that supports Moto gestures for device navigation and 3,000 mAh battery. The $229 model has 2GB RAM and 32GB storage and there’s a $299 model with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage.
The phone has a microSD card slot, headphone jack, nano SIM card slot and a micro USB port. The Moto supports fast charging via the included Turbo Charger, and it has dual band WiFi, Bluetooth 4.2, a front 5MP camera and a 12MP rear camera that can record 4K video. Our US model does not have NFC.
