Haren Saikia, a differently-abled man from Sesuguri-Charai Chapori Ghat in Aahatguri, Majuli constituency, has transformed a transportation crisis into a lifeline for thousands.
Confronted with the severe hardships faced by students and patients due to disrupted boat services caused by the drying of the Brahmaputra River, Saikia constructed an 800-foot-long bamboo bridge to bridge the gap.
