Early attachments create a prototype for future relationships
Later experiences of rejection and abandonment can also inhibit secure adult attachment
Insecure attachments lead to a pervasive sense of unsafeness and sometimes disempowerment which causes disruption of the HPA-Axis/Threat response system and leads to a spectrum of symptoms
When early attachments are insecure, the person will need to re-examine their expectations and develop a new relationship model.
