Inspector general of police Hillary Mutyambai has defended the arrest of a Venezuelan foreigner caught transporting election stickers at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport saying police were doing their due diligence. Speaking on Friday at the Jogoo House offices, Mutyambai maintained that the arrest, impounding, and investigations into the materials were necessary. this even as the arrest has elicited mixed reactions from across the political divide.
