Seven people were injured and one person died Monday evening after a gunbattle between groups in Oakland, officials said. The Oakland Police Department said the exchange of gunfire happened just after 6 p.m. in the 5900 block of MacArthur Boulevard. Officers who went to the area found shell casings but no victims.
