The Governor of Edo state, Adams Oshiomhole has used his 60th birthday party to clarify the controversy on his date of birth stating that he is officially 61 years old and not 60 as it is being celebrated. The Governor confessed that it is his official age stating that "I have celebrated my 60th last year." The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Edo state had on Monday called for the impeachment of the Governor citing the conflict in his age declaration.
