Steve Solomon, candidate for a Democrat nominee for Montgomery County Council at-large seat in the June 26, 2018 primary election, participated in the February 7 candidate forum hosted by Greater Capital Area Association of Realtors. Solomon responded to a question on the public school budget and school closing in the public schools.
“Montgomery County gives fifty-two percent of its budget to Montgomery County Public School with no official oversight. What do you think the role of the council should be in commenting on or providing oversight to big issues like closing the achievement gap or more of the day to day issues like school closings that we face today?”
