Ingredients:
For the Kababs:
- 500g minced chicken or lamb
- 2 medium onion,
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2tsp ginger
- 1 green chili, finely chopped (adjust to taste)
- 1/4 cup fresh coriander or parsley, chopped
- 1tbsp milk powder
-2tbsp cornflour
- 2tsp cumin powder
- 1tsp coriander powder
- Salt to taste
- 1/2 baking powder
- 2 tbsp oil
-1tsp chilli flakes
-1tbsp allspice powder
-2tbsp white vinegar
For Garnishing:
- 1medium size onion chopped in any shap
- Fresh mint or coriander leaves
- Lemon wedges
Instructions:
1. Marinate the Meat:
- In a chopper, combine minced meat, chopped onions, garlic, ginger, green chili, fresh herbs, and all spices.Add salt and mix thoroughly.
2.Shape the Kababs
- Take small portions of the mixture and shape them into elongated kebab shapes. You can also use skewers for better handling.
3. Chill:
- Place the shaped kababs on a plate and refrigerate for about 30 minutes to firm up.
4.steam the Kababs
You can use pot or steamer to steam or half done the kabab.
Cook the kabab
- Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Once hot, gently place the kababs in the pan.
- Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until golden brown and fully cooked.
5. Serve:
- Remove from pan and drain on paper towels.
- Garnish with onions, fresh herbs, and serve with lemon wedges
Tips:
- You can also bake or grill the kababs for a healthier option.
- Serve with mint yogurt sauce or any dipping sauce of your choice.
