This tour reviews the main components of an Esri ArcGIS Enterprise Base Deployment and how they compare to ArcGIS Online. It also shows what happens when you publish data into this environment, how it creates an Item (a Hosted Feature Layer), and that item references an ArcGIS Server REST Endpoint Feature Service to power data requests.
While this video was created at 10.8.1, it is still applicable at the latest version (as of Q3 2023 it is 11.2) since the main design remains identical. Actually, ArcGIS Server, the heart of ArcGIS Enterprise, has been largely the same since 10.1, released more than a decade ago!
