About Sunwaves Festival :

Set in the coastal Black Sea resort town of Mamaia Nord, Romania’s Sunwaves Festival is one of the country’s oldest and most respected electronic dance events. Its 20th edition from August 19 to August 23 offered multiple venues with a diverse roster that covered nearly everything from talents in Romania’s increasingly hyped minimal scene.

About Raresh :

Raresh is definitely one of the fundamental figures of the up-to-date electronic movement. Born in Bacau, the clubbing scene enchained him at the age of 15, when he started playing in a small club in town, marking his turntable ascension from the age whereupon most of the youngsters are still playing football in the courtyard.

Moving to Bucharest and joining the agency ensured him constant gigs at Sunrise's events at the seaside and laid him at the deck with Richie Hawtin, Magda, Steve Bug, Ricardo Villalobos, Josh Wink, Pascal FEOS, Troy Pierce, Marc Houle, Pier Bucci, Tobi Neumann ... and the list could go on and on.

In 2007, alongside Rhadoo and Petre Inspirescu, he launched the [a:rpia:r] label, whose activity brought each one of them their deserved spot on top of the clubbing scale, becoming one of the most beloved Romanian DJs. With constant gigs all over the world, a strong label, forward releases, two complices to ratify the ping pong - back to back in three - Raresh proved, no doubt, what a complete DJ means and now enjoys all the support and admiration of the electronic music scene lovers.

About Petre Inspirescu :

In his adoptive town, Bucharest, Pedro aka Petre Inspirescu has long been a pivotal figure alongside his frequent accomplices Rhadoo and Raresh. He started djing in 1999, in the long regretted Web Club.

Four years ago he became resident at Circoloco, Dc10 Ibiza and since then, his way of feeling and understanding electronic music changed completely. In the last three years, his appearances throughout the whole world have brought his name to many listeners' lips, heightening interest in the fertile Romanian scene, an unexpected outpost of advanced electronic music.

From the very beginning Pedro has been strongly affected by deep house tunes and the multitude variety of grooves - not only in electronic music. His DJ sets are as sonically baffling as they are irresistibly groovy; as a producer, his tracks are as unhinged as they are methodical. He equally owns the label [a:rpia:r], with Rhadoo and Raresh , other details being completely useless. If you listened to him at least once, you know what we're talking about!
