I am planning to sell the clio soon and it is booked in for the MOT test next week and one problem i noticed was at speeds above 40mph it got quite unstable, round corners it leaned quite a bit.
I was under the car a couple of weeks back and noticed the anti roll bar links were in a bad state, the one on the drivers side was completely rotten and was doing nothing, the one on the passenger side was perished, both needed to be replaced.
The track rod ends also needed replacement which i did in a separate video.
Compared to changing the anti roll bar drop links on a 406, the clio is a bit fiddly, although normally if i have an angle grinder to hand its quicker just to cut these out, bin the old ones and slide the new ones into place.
However as these replacements are eBay parts, and £4.97 for the pair no new nuts came with the links, i would have preferred to change the nuts, but i just reused the old ones, it would be a good idea to spend a bit more and get better quality parts that include the replacement nuts.
The car feels much tighter having replaced the parts, although that was just driving it around the farm, i haven't had it out on the road yet as its MOT is still expired.
