Applying traditional Burnt Sand Mastic
Mix Boiled Linseed Oil (BLO) with a fine sharp sand to the consistency of damp, brown sugar.
Prime the surfaces with BLO prior to application. The priming coat may be applied the day prior and again on the day of application. Mix the sand and oil at least one hour prior to application. Let it sit longer in colder weather. Trail and error may be needed to get things correct.
