Here are the worst Villages, Towns and Cities in County Durham (North East England). This is a county in a part of England which desperately needs investment. Many of the towns have houses for sale for £5,000 and whole streets are sitting empty. In these former mining communities there is a lack of investment in infrastructure and jobs so nobody really wants to live here.
County Durham is sandwiched between Middlesborough and Sunderland. I couldn't believe how shocking the state of these towns and villages was. The politicians should hang their heads in shame but they only care about London. High streets have been destroyed and all the shops are shut, everybody is miserable and smackheads from London have been shipped in destroying the sense of community here.
